Kim Jong Kook recently tied the knot with his non-celebrity wife in a private ceremony on September 5, attended only by close acquaintances. Following the news, speculation about his wife spread widely, with some rumors claiming she was a "beauty startup CEO, 11 years is junior," "20 years younger than him," or "from Los Angeles."
On September 11, during the broadcast of KBS 2TV's 'Problem Child in House,' Kim Jong Kook addressed the rumors surrounding his marriage. He dismissed all the rumors and shared, "We didn't meet at a gym. Other than the gender, none of the rumors is true. They are all wrong."
When the other cast members asked about their age difference, Kim Jong Kook explained, "I didn't hide her information because of the age gap. That's nonsense. It's not that I wanted to keep her identity private, but she wished to remain anonymous."
That same day, Kim Jong Kook also revealed on his YouTube channel, GYM JONG KOOK, the moment he personally informed fellow celebrities about his wedding.
In the video, he invited Yoo Jae Suk to the wedding very nonchalantly. He was seen casually asking Yoo Jae Suk, "What are you doing on Friday? If you're free, I'm getting married, come and eat." Shocked, Yoo Jae Suk replied, "Stop lying," unable to believe the news at first. Yoo Jae Suk eventually asked, "Are you really getting married?"
Haha was also stunned, repeatedly asking, "Seriously, tell me. Who are you marrying? I'm honestly about to cry," Showing deep emotion. Yang Se Chan also doubted the news at first too but later claimed Kim Jong Kook showed signs of dating someone.
