J.Y. Park, founder and Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of JYP Entertainment, gifted gold to Stray Kids in celebration of their historic achievement on the Billboard 200 chart.
On September 15 KST, Stray Kids shared several photos on their official Instagram account along with the caption, “Thank you, PD-nim.” The photos show the eight members posing with J.Y. Park while holding gold bars, smiling brightly to mark the special occasion.
The gold was a gift from Park in recognition of the group’s latest feat: their fourth studio album ‘KARMA’ debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart dated September 6. With this, Stray Kids became the first artist in Billboard 200’s 70-year history to have seven consecutive albums debut at No. 1 following a No. 1 entry. To honor this unprecedented record, Park reportedly gifted each of the eight members 20 don (approximately 75 grams) of gold, totaling 160 don, which is currently valued well above ₩100 million (approximately USD 72,000).

Stray Kids are also set to hold their first-ever stadium concert in Korea. Their encore shows for the world tour, titled ‘Stray Kids World Tour ’, will take place on October 18 and 19 at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, further solidifying their status as global stars.
Meanwhile, J.Y. Park was recently appointed Co-Chair of the Presidential Committee for Cultural Exchange, a newly formed government body under the Office of the President. The committee aims to establish a collaborative public-private system to support the global expansion of Korean pop culture, including music, film, drama, and gaming, amid growing international interest in Korean content.
