Choi Jung Hoon, the lead vocalist of the band JANNABI, experienced a brief onstage mishap during a recent performance at his alma mater.
On September 16 KST, Choi took the stage at Kyung Hee University’s campus festival, performing in heavy rain. However, he slipped while trying to catch a falling standing microphone and fell during his entrance. In a heartwarming turn, the crowd began singing “Did you ever love me?” on his behalf, cheering him on with a mass singalong.
After the performance, Choi shared a video clip on his personal social media account, writing:
“Today’s Kyung Hee University!! My juniors!! I was so fired up that I ended up falling as soon as I walked on stage.”
He continued, “The mic flew off the stage, so I couldn’t even sing the first line of the first song! But you all picked up the slack with incredible energy and sang every line back and forth in my place. Thanks to you, I was able to finish the show on a high note. It was truly an unforgettable moment, and I’ll never forget your faces today. You were amazing. You became my role models. Thank you, my juniors!”
Choi Jung Hoon is currently appearing on the MBC variety show 'Hangout with Yoo'
