Actress Han Ye Seul has commemorated the legalization of tattoo procedures in South Korea by getting a couple tattoo with her husband, Ryu Sung Jae, symbolizing their “eternal love.”

On September 27, Han Ye Seul shared on her social media story, “Tattoo procedures are now legal!” accompanied by a beaming emoji. She also posted a glimpse of herself receiving a tattoo from a professional tattoo artist. Lying calmly on the tattoo table, she allowed her arm to be inked with a design featuring the number “2025,” which was reminiscent of a candle-adorned cake.
Han Ye Seul was not alone in marking the occasion. Together with her husband, actor Ryu Sung Jae, who is ten years her junior and formerly a theater actor, they got matching tattoos, promising their everlasting love. This follows the passage of the Tattoo Artist Act on September 25, which allows non-medical professionals who have passed a national licensing exam to legally perform tattoo procedures.
Han Ye Seul and Ryu Sung Jae married last year, and this tattoo moment adds another milestone to their celebrated romance.
