Singer G.NA has spoken out for the first time in nearly nine years, sharing a heartfelt message on Instagram about her past struggles and her path toward healing.
On September 2, G.NA posted a lengthy note to her account, writing: “Hi again… I’ve carried this quietly for years. While working in Korea’s entertainment industry, I went through an experience that changed me deeply. What hurt most wasn’t what happened .. it was the silence. I disappeared not to hide, but to survive. But I’m not that scared girl anymore. I’m no longer defined by the past, but by what I choose to do now. I’ve healed, I’ve grown, and I’m reclaiming my voice .. not to relive old wounds, but to move forward with honesty and love. To my loyal fans who never stopped believing in me .. thank you from the bottom of my heart. To those who walked away, I understand. And to anyone silenced by shame .. your story isn’t over. How have you guys been lately? ☺️ It’s been a long time. Much love, Gina ❤️”
Her candid reflection marks her first detailed public statement since her 2016 fine for overseas prostitution charges, which led her to halt all activities and leave South Korea for the United States.
G.NA, who debuted in 2010 with "I’ll Get Lost, You Go Your Way" and gained popularity with hits such as "Black & White" and "Top Girl," has remained largely out of the spotlight since the scandal.
Just days earlier, on August 28, she had also posted a photo update captioned, “It’s been a long time,” her first message in nearly a year. With her latest emotional post, the singer has once again drawn attention from fans and the public, sparking speculation about her future direction.
