Singer BoA celebrated her eldest brother Kwon Soon Hwon’s recent appearance in a news broadcast.
On September 22, BoA posted a screencap on her social media with the caption, “He really went, this guy,” showing her brother on the news.
Kwon Soon Hwon had participated in the world’s first bicycle tour event, the '2025 Seven Bridge Tour,' held in Busan. In his interview, he shared, “I heard the course included places like Gwangandaegyo Bridge, so I came to join. It was really fun and worth traveling all the way down from Seoul.”
BoA also noted a mistake in the broadcast subtitle, which had misspelled her brother’s name as “Kwon Soon Heon,” correcting it with, “Yes, my eldest brother’s name is Kwon Soon ‘Hwon.’”
Fans found her reactions both supportive and amusing, commenting, “BoA bragging about her brother is so cute,” “Her brother is amazing,” “I can’t be the only one laughing at her calling him ‘this guy,’” and “Such a real sibling moment.”
Kwon Soon Hwon graduated from Seoul National University’s piano department and is now an active pianist. BoA’s second brother, Kwon Soon Wook, is a director known for producing music videos for various K-pop artists.
