Actor Kim Min Kyu has officially completed his military service and reunited with fans.
On September 30th KST, Kim Min Kyu shared, “I enlisted on April 1, 2024, and I was officially discharged as of September 30, 2025.”
He continued, “One year and six months have passed—long if you think of it as long, short if you think of it as short. There were tough moments, but thanks to the fans who loved and waited for me, and the amazing seniors, juniors, fellow soldiers, and officers, I was able to safely complete my military service.”
He also expressed his respect for active-duty soldiers: “I want to send my deepest respect and gratitude to all service members protecting our country at this very moment.”
Finishing his message, Kim Min Kyu said, “I sincerely thank my fans who have always supported me. I will greet you soon with new projects and a better version of myself.”
Kim Min Kyu originally enlisted in the Army on April 1, 2024.
Since his debut in 2013 with the drama 'Monstar', Kim Min Kyu has impressed audiences with his acting skills and versatility in series such as 'Signal', 'Because This Is My First Life', 'Perfume', 'The King's Affection', 'Backstreet Rookie', and 'Snowdrop'.
In particular, in 'Business Proposal', he won fans’ hearts as Cha Sung-hoon, the loyal and friendly secretary to GO Food CEO Kang Tae-moo, earning the nickname “Glasses Guy.”
