Sooyoung of Girls’ Generation gave fans a good laugh as she jokingly called out fellow member Yuri for once again ignoring the group’s dress code.
On August 5th KST, Sooyoung shared a group photo of Girls’ Generation in celebration of their 18th debut anniversary. Along with the caption “Happy 18th birthday, GG♥”, she humorously added, “Yuri, when are you going to follow the dress code?”
The photo features members Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany Young, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, YoonA, and Seohyun gathered to mark the special occasion. While most members opted for a relaxed, casual look, Yuri stood out in a striking outfit complete with flashy accessories, a jacket, and a blouse.
Sooyoung continued her light-hearted teasing, writing, “Last year, the dress code ended up being sunglasses and tracksuits because of you. But now you show up in this gorgeous ethnic Jeju look? I spent the whole day agonizing over which tracksuit to wear in the summer heat!”
She then joked, “Yuri is inside my sunglasses,” referring to her photo in which Yuri’s reflection—dressed in full glam—is clearly visible in the lenses of her shades.
Sooyoung didn’t stop there. She added, “Even her shoes are showing off♥,” pointing out the sheer shoes Yuri wore, which were a gift from Tiffany.
She also shared posts by YoonA, who wrote “Happy 18th birthday, Girls’ Generation♥”, and Seohyun, who wrote “Our lovely 18th anniversary♥ In the world we met again, like fate, lucky like that,” expressing her deep affection for the group.
Interestingly, Yuri also missed the memo on the dress code during last year’s 17th anniversary. While the other seven members dressed in elegant white dresses, Yuri showed up in sunglasses, a headset, and a sporty outfit—making headlines among fans for her signature free spirit.
