SEVENTEEN’s Jun (Wen Junhui) will attend the 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) with his latest film ‘The Shadow’s Edge’, co-starring legendary actor Jackie Chan.
The action-thriller has been officially invited to the Open Cinema section of BIFF, which opens on October 4 and runs through October 13. The film is set for theatrical release in Korea on September 20, but local audiences will get a sneak peek at the festival—where Jun is scheduled to appear in person for a special screening and audience interaction.
The Open Cinema section is known for showcasing films that combine strong cinematic quality with broad audience appeal. The screening will take place outdoors at the Busan Cinema Center, offering a meaningful encounter between the film and its first Korean viewers.
Alongside the announcement, a special greeting video from Jackie Chan was released. Starting in Korean with “Annyeonghaseyo,” the veteran actor warmly greeted his Korean fans and introduced the film. The teaser included thrilling clips of Chan’s character—Huang Dezong, a retired elite tracker—going head-to-head with Jun’s role as Hu Feng, the adopted son of a powerful crime boss. Their intense action scenes heightened anticipation for the film’s full release.
‘The Shadow’s Edge’ tells the story of a high-tech heist orchestrated by a criminal organization, and the elite surveillance unit tracking them down. Since its August 16 release in China, the film has grossed over $77.5 million USD, solidifying its blockbuster status.
The cast includes Jackie Chan, Simon Yam, Tsui Siu Ming, Zhang Zifeng, and Wen Junhui (SEVENTEEN’s Jun).
