Koyote’s Bbaekga once again left his seat when the topic of Shinji’s relationship with Moon Won came up.
On August 9, the YouTube channel ‘Ggondaehee’ uploaded a video titled “A bowl of mul-naengmyeon with Jongmin and Bbaekga — and Shinji, who came out herself because she was frustrated.”
In the video, Koyote members Kim Jong Min, Shinji, and Bbaekga appeared as guests, sharing a candid and lively conversation. While enjoying their meal together, the three discussed each other’s YouTube channels. When Shinji mentioned her own channel, Kim Jong Min gave Ggondaehee a knowing smile and asked, “Have you seen it?” Baekga added, “The views are no joke,” referring to Shinji’s recent marriage-related video.
Ggondaehee quickly intervened, saying, “Only talk about what you’re asked. I won’t ask anything that might make the person uncomfortable.” Shinji responded, “I’m not uncomfortable, but these two keep egging me on.”
Ggondaehee then cautiously admitted, “I’ve seen it too.” At that, Bbaekga re-enacted the moment from Shinji and Moon Won’s video, saying, “I need to step out to the bathroom,” before leaving the table. Shinji shouted after him, “You’re dead!” prompting laughter. Realizing the situation, Kim Dae Hee remarked, “This is why I love Koyote,” and burst out laughing.
During the show, Shinji shared a past conflict within Koyote. She explained that, during events, she often had to handle both singing and MC duties, and she had grown frustrated that Kim Jong Min and Baekga didn’t fully prepare their parts. One day, she decided to leave everything to the two of them on stage, but the performance ended up a disaster. “So for a while, our relationship wasn’t great,” she admitted, but added that the incident eventually made them more considerate toward each other.
Recently, Shinji went public with her relationship with singer Moon Won, announcing plans to marry in the first half of next year. However, Moon Won’s past and behavior have since stirred controversy, drawing heavy criticism. As public opinion appeared overwhelmingly against the marriage, Shinji stated, “I fully understand the concern and criticism people have shared. I will think carefully and reconsider.”
Koyote recently released the single “Call Me” and will continue their comeback momentum with their “2025 Koyote Festival” national tour, kicking off in September with shows in Daegu, Seoul, Ulsan, and Busan.
