Actress Go Eun Byul, formerly of the girl group LPG, expressed deep sorrow and longing as she mourned the passing of the late actor Song Young Gyu.
On August 5, Go Eun Byul shared a photo on her social media featuring herself with the late Lee Sun Gyun and Song Young Gyu, accompanied by a long, heartfelt tribute.
"Another star has fallen," she wrote. "I can't shake off this heaviness all day. There were times I resented you, times I liked you, and times we went through pain together… Now, all of that must become eternal memories. But you were such a warm, kind person," she expressed.
She continued, "Our last call just two days ago… I didn’t know those words would be your last. I should’ve cared a little more, reached out just once more… I’m sorry, oppa. Please smile brightly where you are… Promise me!"
She concluded the post by saying, "Holding onto this final memory with two shining stars… I sincerely pray for the repose of your soul."
The photo she shared shows Go Eun Byul, Lee Sun Gyun, and Song Young Gyu posing together on a golf course. Now that both actors have passed, the image leaves an even more poignant impression on those who see it.
Meanwhile, Song Young Gyu was found deceased in his car near his home in Cheoin-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, on the morning of August 4. He was 55.
No suicide note or signs of foul play were found at the scene, according to reports. Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of his death.
The funeral is being held in Room 1 of the Davos Hospital Funeral Hall in Yongin. The procession will take place at 7:30 a.m. on August 6, and the burial site is Hanbaeksan Memorial Park.
