Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, widely known for his role as Thor, transforms into a Korean special forces soldier in the upcoming Disney+ original series, 'Limitless with Chris Hemsworth.'
On August 14, Disney+ released a sneak peek of Hemsworth undergoing the intense training, one day ahead of the series premiere. The footage captures the Hollywood star pushing his physical and mental limits alongside members of Korea’s elite military units, promising viewers a journey of self-overcoming rather than a mere celebrity experience.
The first challenge features a high-intensity obstacle course where Hemsworth must crawl under a 50-meter barbed-wire fence while receiving electric shocks with each contact, simulating the sting of wasp-like jolts. Amid smoke from flares, he successfully completes the grueling crawl alongside the special forces soldiers.
The challenges escalate as Hemsworth braves icy waters to retrieve supplies, facing freezing temperatures and the added difficulty of slipping on ice. Describing the experience, he said, “It felt like my body was on fire, and I thought I was getting frostbite.” Despite the punishing conditions, he perseveres, demonstrating remarkable mental resilience. Upon returning with the supplies to the cheers of his fellow trainees, Hemsworth lightened the mood with a playful quip: “I’m Rose, and you’re Jack,” referencing 'Titanic.'
'Limitless with Chris Hemsworth' goes beyond physical training, documenting the actor confronting modern-day stress, pain, and fear to find solutions through firsthand experience. The series premieres on Disney+ on August 15.
