Seventeen's Hoshi and Woozi have announced their mandatory military enlistment date.
On July 8, their agency Pledis Entertainment officially announced, “Hoshi and Woozi will begin fulfilling their mandatory military service in September. Woozi is scheduled to enlist as an active-duty soldier in the Army on September 15, and Hoshi will follow on September 16.”
The agency added, “As their final official activities before enlistment, they will carry out scheduled events such as the ‘HOSHI X WOOZI FAN CONCERT [WARNING]’ and a video call fan sign event for their 5th full album. Once their service begins, they will no longer be able to participate in Seventeen’s group activities. However, we have prepared a variety of content in advance to continue connecting with CARATs.”
They further stated, “Since the training center entrance ceremonies are occasions attended by many soldiers and their families, we kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting the site. Please send your farewell messages and words of support for Hoshi and Woozi through Weverse instead.”
Pledis concluded by saying, “We ask for CARATs’ unwavering love and support so that Hoshi and Woozi can fulfill their service duties diligently and return in good health. Our company will also continue to do our best to support the artists.”
Hoshi and Woozi, both born in 1996, debuted as members of Seventeen in 2015 and have remained active ever since. Following Jeonghan and Wonwoo, they will be the third members of the group to enlist.
