Super Junior’s Kim Heechul surprised fans with a fresh new look, revealing his short haircut for the first time.
On the July 9 KST broadcast of SBS PowerFM’s 'Cultwo Show', Super Junior appeared as a full group to celebrate their 20th debut anniversary, with singer Hwang Chi Yeul joining as special DJ.
During the show, a listener sent a message jokingly asking if Kim Heechul had come from a beekeeping job, referring to the hat he was wearing. In response, leader Leeteuk shared, “Heechul had long hair, but he cut it short for today’s show.”
Heechul chimed in, jokingly calling the broadcast a “Cut-wo Show” and then revealed his new hairstyle. The other members reacted positively, saying, “It looks great,” and “It feels refreshing.”
When asked why he decided to cut his hair, Kim Heechul said, “I’ve always had long hair, and some fans wanted me to try a shorter style. I didn’t make a big deal out of it and kept it quiet, but Leeteuk spilled the beans,” adding with a laugh, “I should’ve styled it better today.”
