Actress Park Ju Hyun is featured on the latest episode of the observational variety show ‘Omniscient Interfering View’.
Regarding her venture into the entertainment industry, Park Ju Hyun mentions that as a high school student, she was casted on the streets at Lotte World, a theme park in Korea. The actress also brings up a funny anecdote with her university professor when she was casted for the Netflix drama series ‘Extracurricular’. When she applied for a leave of absence to film the series, her professor was baffled by her mention of Netflix, as the streaming platform was relatively unknown in Korea back in 2019. As such, she had much trouble getting the leave of absence approved.
Upon release, ‘Extracurricular’ went on to garner much attention and love locally and globally. However, Park Ju Hyun states that her parents were slightly worried due to her strong-headed role of Bae Gyu Ri becoming controversial among viewers. Her efforts were recognized, as she bagged the Best New Actress award at the prestigious ‘Baeksang Arts Awards’ in 2021.
Meanwhile, Park Ju Hyun has most recently returned with the psychological thriller series ‘Hunter with a Scalpel’, alongside Kang Hoon and Park Yong Woo. She is a recurring member of the sports variety show ‘Iron Girls’, currently in its second season. She has also ventured into the theater, starring in the 2025 play ‘Shakespeare in Love’, showcasing her multi-faceted talent.
