INFINITE’s Nam Woohyun and former Wanna One member Ha Sung Woon have caught attention for their candid remarks about live performances.
On July 22 KST, a new episode teaser of the YouTube show 'Neighborhood Star K Show' (동네스타K쇼) was uploaded on the Neighborhood Star K channel. At the end of the clip, a preview of the upcoming episode—set to be released on the 29th—was featured.
Nam Woohyun and Ha Sung Woon appear as guests in the episode, where they talk openly about live vocals in idol performances. Ha Sung Woon stated,
“Idols need to start doing super live performances now.”
Nam Woohyun added,
“All live, 100%—we always perform live even at events.”
Ha Sung Woon elaborated,
“Even if there are voice cracks or pitch issues, I still think singing live is cooler.”
Nam Woohyun agreed, saying,
“We’re not just dancers. As K-pop artists, we both sing and dance.”
The clip also showed the two performing DAY6’s “You Were Beautiful” in a karaoke setting, raising the key and passionately belting out the song—raising anticipation for the full episode.
As more K-pop idol groups perform to pre-recorded MR (music recordings) to accommodate complex choreography, the duo’s honest stance on prioritizing real vocals has resonated with many fans.
