Shinji (43, real name Lee Ji Sun), a member of Koyote, and her fiancé Moon Won (36, real name Park Sang Moon) have been at the center of swirling online rumors concerning Moon’s private life. In response, Shinji’s agency, JG STAR, has conducted an internal investigation, during which Moon Won presented official divorce documents to clear the air.
On July 4, Korean media outlet EDAILY obtained a copy of Moon’s mutual divorce certificate from the Bucheon branch of Incheon Family Court, with personal information redacted. This document had already been submitted to Shinji’s agency as part of their verification process.
According to EDAILY’s report, JG STAR met with Moon Won on July 3 to discuss the various rumors that had surfaced online. The agency reviewed the divorce certificate between Moon and his former wife and reached out directly to his acquaintances, including old classmates and fellow soldiers from his military service.
At the center of the agency’s concerns was the authenticity of Moon’s claim that he had legally divorced. This followed Moon’s recent revelation that he is a divorced father with a daughter. Online speculation quickly intensified when a comment appeared suggesting, “Check the divorce court records, you’ll be shocked,” raising further doubts about his past.
Moon, who is currently not signed to any agency, debuted in 2012 with the song "Live with Me." He also appeared on JTBC’s 'Hidden Singer' (Yoon Min Soo episode) and KBS2’s 'Trot National Sports Festival.'
According to Shinji’s agency, Moon’s divorce was confirmed through official documentation, and as he previously stated, custody of his daughter remains with his ex-wife. The agency also confirmed that Moon continues to maintain contact with his daughter.
Shinji and Moon first met on a radio program and eventually began dating, with their relationship leading to a planned wedding in the first half of next year. Due to Shinji’s demanding schedule with Koyote’s new album and upcoming concerts, the couple had pre-scheduled their wedding photoshoot. This detail was later revealed through media reports, prompting them to announce their engagement earlier than planned.
On July 2, Shinji posted a video on her YouTube channel where she revealed to fellow Koyote members Kim Jong Min and Bbaek Ga that Moon is a divorced father. Following this, several allegations began surfacing online, including claims of infidelity, operating a real estate business without a license, school bullying, and mistreating junior soldiers during his military service.
Moon took to his social media on July 3 to firmly deny allegations of infidelity, school violence, and military misconduct. Responding to rumors that he had changed his name multiple times, he clarified, “My legal name is Park Sang Moon. I only changed my stage name from Giryun to Moon Won, and I have never legally changed my real name.”
However, Moon admitted to one allegation, stating, “It’s true that I engaged in real estate work without having a licensed realtor qualification. During my struggling years, I began working at a brokerage office at a friend’s suggestion, not realizing at the time that it was inappropriate to be involved in real estate transactions without proper certification. That was my oversight, and I apologize.”
JG STAR added further context, stating, “After Moon released his statement, a former colleague from the real estate office contacted us to clarify that while Moon did not have a realtor license, he was officially registered as a brokerage assistant and was not involved in handling actual contracts.”
Meanwhile, Shinji and Moon are scheduled to appear together on KBS Cool FM’s 'Park Myung Soo’s Radio Show' on July 9. The couple recently released a duet titled "Salagadoola" following the announcement of their upcoming wedding.
