On the afternoon of the 26th, MBN’s variety show 'Let’s GO 5' featured model Song Kyung A’s unique pottery collection, impressive investment strategies, and a dress room resembling a vintage boutique.
Joining her were junior models Jung Hyuk and Jin Jung Sun, who shared their own stories about personal finance and investments.
Jung Hyuk candidly stated, “I cannot avoid investing. Since I did not grow up wealthy, I try to keep my bank account positive. I believe in diversified investments and never putting all my money in one place. I invest in land, real estate, cryptocurrencies, and stocks.”
At 35 years old, Jung revealed he has yet to buy a house. “I purposely chose not to buy a house but instead invested in land. Looking back, I think I made a great decision. When property prices skyrocketed, others owned ten properties but their values dropped to three or four. Meanwhile, my land doubled in value. I even visited the site and found water there. Hot springs had sprung up, so I bought it.”
When asked about failures, he responded, “I have experienced both failures and successes. The most memorable success was Bitcoin. Back in 2018, when I was only modeling and not appearing on TV, I did not have much in my bank account—less than 10 million KRW (about $7,700). I invested 8 million KRW (about $6,150) all in at once. The next day, the value was like buying a used car. The day after, it was worth an SUV. It surged to over 1 billion KRW (about $770,000) but then dropped sharply due to issues. I held on and saw another rally in 2022.”
Former footballer Ahn Jung Hwan expressed envy, saying, “You would not need to work anymore.” Jung Hyuk replied, “I still have to work. Recently, I have been buying gold since two years ago, and it has appreciated a lot. The key to investing in gold is to watch the global economy closely because prices fluctuate with many events. I recommend diversified investments.”
