It's no secret that the characters from the hit Netflix original animated film 'K-pop Demon Hunters' drew inspiration from various K-pop idol groups. But recently, Korean fans and netizens have discovered an uncanny resemblance between one particular character and a familiar idol group member.
'K-Pop Demon Hunters' has been a global sensation since its release last month. The popularity continues as online users still buzz over the topic of 'K-pop Demon Hunters' on various popular social media platforms and forums.
Recently, Korean netizens have directed their attention to Abby Saja, or Abs Saja, from the Saja Boys, a fictional K-pop group from the film.
These netizens have pointed out how the character closely resembles MONSTA X member Shownu.
Although 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' director Maggie Kang revealed the Saja Boys members were inspired by boy groups such as TXT, BTS, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, Big Bang, and MONSTA X, there was no mention of specific members.
However, Korean netizens are certain that Abby Saja is based on Shownu, thanks to their resemblance in visuals. Some fans pointed out that their personalities also draw a resemblance.
