Kim Soo Hyun has sold one of his three high-end apartments at the prestigious Galleria Fore complex in Seoul, refuting rumors that the sale was a response to financial pressure.
On July 3, he finalized the sale of a 170.98㎡ unit for 8 billion KRW (approximately 6.15 million USD), which he originally purchased for 3.02 billion KRW in 2014. The transaction took place just days after he became involved in a high-profile lawsuit from advertisers demanding damages, leading to speculation of a rushed sale.
However, sources confirm that the sale was planned well in advance, with a buyer already arranged since last year. Only the contract date was recent.
Kim still owns two more units in the luxury skyscraper—both spacious 90-pyeong residences purchased in 2013 and 2024. One of them is currently under provisional seizure due to a 3 billion KRW claim from medical device company Classys and another 100 million KRW claim from Cuckoo’s Malaysian branch.
These developments come amid ongoing legal battles. YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute alleged that Kim had an underage relationship with late actress Kim Sae Ron—claims he has denied, stating the relationship began after she reached adulthood.
Kim’s legal team has filed multiple lawsuits against individuals involved, including defamation, coercion, and stalking charges. Though progress has been slow, the case recently saw a change in the investigation team at the Gangnam Police Station.
