Kep1er member Seo Youngeun will be stepping away from group activities for the time being due to health issues. Fans have responded with concern and support, emphasizing that her well-being is the top priority.
On July 15 KST, her agency, WakeOne and Swing Entertainment, released an official statement:
“Youngeun has recently been feeling unwell and was advised by medical professionals to take sufficient rest. After discussions with the artist, we’ve decided she will take a break to focus on recovery.”
The announcement came as a surprise to many, but fans quickly took to social media to express support. Comments such as “Rest is the right decision,” “We’ll be waiting—please recover well,” and “Health always comes first” flooded online platforms.
Youngeun will not be participating in Kep1er’s scheduled comeback in August or other upcoming events for now. The agency added, “We will support Youngeun in every way so she can return to fans healthy and smiling. Updates on her return will be shared as her recovery progresses.”
Known for her steady vocals and dependable presence on stage, Seo Youngeun has been a fan favorite since debut. While her absence will be felt, fans remain united in sending her their warmest wishes and support.
