DAY6 has been selected as a model for Kia Motors.
On July 4, Kia Korea’s official YouTube channel released a video titled "Kia | [The Kia Tasman X DAY6] 6Days, The Beginning of the Adventure." The video features DAY6 leader Sungjin and members Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon, who were chosen to represent the Kia Tasman model.
Kia stated, "Youth, music, travel – and freedom, as envisioned with DAY6! A bold yet effortlessly smooth six-day adventure with DAY6 begins now. Watch the beginning unfold today."
The collaboration between DAY6 and Kia came to life through DAY6’s first-ever film, '6DAYS,' which will be released in theaters via CGV this August. Produced by MBC, '6DAYS' is a music road movie capturing the cinematic journey of DAY6 as they celebrate their 10th debut anniversary. For the film, the group traveled to the United States in late May, stepping away from their busy schedules and daily routines to embrace a sense of freedom.
The production team aims to present audiences with sweeping, exotic landscapes, the members’ personal playlists, intimate busking scenes, and reflections on their decade-long journey, all while sharing their heartfelt thoughts toward fans.
In another official video, DAY6 is shown visiting Kia’s headquarters. Young K, welcomed warmly by Kia employees, shyly smiled and said, "As a Kia model, I’ll work hard once again. Thank you."
The members were then introduced to the Tasman vehicle in person. Dowoon told Young K, "Our brother made it. You made it. Hurry up and get in."
Young K commented, "This looks perfect for a road trip." From the back seat, Wonpil added, "This is nice."
Sungjin reminisced about filming the "Hi Hello" music video, recalling the time they rode in a pickup truck. Young K said, "I remember fixing a car in that music video," and Wonpil responded, "Right. I think you wore gloves or something." Young K added, "Yeah, I wore gloves and opened the hood."
While a staff member was introducing the car's features, Young K appeared confused by the automotive terminology—unsurprising, as he is the only member without a driver’s license. In contrast, Sungjin’s knowledge of cars stood out.
Wonpil also surprised staff by confidently explaining the origin of the Tasman's name. "Tasman is the name of a Dutch explorer who first discovered New Zealand," he said. "So it means to live like an explorer while driving this car."
DAY6 will officially celebrate their 10th anniversary on September 7. Leading up to the milestone, they’ve kept an intense schedule: launching their first national tour in about six years, performing on a global world tour, releasing the album 'Maybe Tomorrow' on May 7, and holding a six-day solo concert at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena—all while filming their debut movie.
Next up is their 4th solo fan meeting, 'PIER 10: All My Days,' which will take place over six days at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa, Seoul, from July 18–20 and 25–27.

Netizens have responded with humor and enthusiasm to media outlets highlighting DAY6’s new role as Kia models—especially amused by the fact that Young K doesn’t even have a driver’s license.
Comments include: "Young K is hilarious no matter what he does lol," "The article headlines are seriously so funny lol,"
"'Along with unlicensed Young K' lol wow but they actually became a Kia model lol," "Even unlicensed Young K is included lol," "Unlicensed lolol but hey, even if you're unlicensed, you can still own a car!"
"Ah, reporter-nim, please don’t make such a big deal about our boy being unlicensed lol now the whole world knows he doesn’t have a license lol he looks like he’d be driving a sports car but now everyone knows he’s license-less lol"
Congratulations to DAY6!
