On July 30, actor Ahn Bo Hyun made a candid confession during his appearance on BOOGLE BOOGLE’s popular YouTube segment “Speak Face-to-Face” where he was joined by Girls' Generation members YoonA and Tiffany Young.
As the conversation turned to Ahn Bo Hyun’s military service, MC Tiffany asked a playful but pointed question.
“You served full-term in the Army starting in 2008. Back then, who was the girl group you had pictures of in your locker? Girls’ Generation debuted in 2007,” she said with a smile. YoonA added jokingly, “It better have been Girls’ Generation.”
At first, Ahn Bo Hyun responded carefully, saying, “I think it was Girls’ Generation.” However, Tiffany pressed him to be honest. “Tell the truth,” she said with a straight face.
Laughing, Ahn eventually admitted, “I don’t think it was Girls’ Generation. Actually, I didn’t have any girl group photos in my locker at all,” which made everyone laugh.
But when asked who he truly considered the top girl group, Ahn answered without hesitation. “That’s definitely Girls’ Generation,” he said. “I’ve said this on other shows too. Girls’ Generation was so popular at the time that when we went on leave, we would buy their CDs and give the album covers to our seniors.”
Although he may not have displayed their photos in the barracks, Ahn Bo Hyun made it clear that Girls’ Generation was a favorite during his time in the military.
