Singer and rapper (Jessica H.o.) Jessi is officially making her return, launching a bold new chapter with the announcement of her independent label and a powerful comeback single titled "Newsflash."
On June 25, Jessi released the teaser video for the track through her official social media platforms, generating strong anticipation from fans worldwide.
"Newsflash" is a dynamic hip-hop track that marks Jessi’s first release in about a year. The song captures the narrative of her comeback as a breaking news event, featuring raw lyrics and confident energy that reflect Jessi’s signature authenticity. In the teaser video, Jessi stands under the glaring spotlight of the media, every movement watched and magnified. With the line “Don’t believe all the hype,” she cautions against false narratives and sensationalism.
The video transitions between scenes of Jessi dominating the stage in front of a roaring crowd and moments from her everyday life and childhood, offering a more personal and grounded perspective. The teaser concludes with a striking image of Jessi standing in front of a microphone, raising excitement for the full music video.

With this release, Jessi officially begins her journey as an independent artist under her self-founded label, UNNI COMPANY. Her digital single "Newsflash" is scheduled for release on June 27, 2025 at 12 AM (EST) | 1 PM (KST) through major music streaming platforms worldwide.
Jessi’s independent comeback follows a series of high-profile transitions. After ending her exclusive contract with Psy’s P NATION in July 2022, she briefly joined Jay Park’s label MORE VISION, only to part ways in January 2023. Since then, Jessi has remained without a label until now.
She was also previously involved in a legal investigation regarding an alleged assault, but the case was dismissed after authorities found no evidence of wrongdoing.
Now, with "Newsflash" and her newly launched label, Jessi is reclaiming her narrative and stepping into a new era with complete creative freedom. Fans are eagerly awaiting what comes next.
