BTS members Jimin and Jungkook recently opened up about their time in the military, sharing how much they relied on each other during their service. Speaking candidly during a casual livestream on the fan platform Weverse on the morning of June 11, the duo discussed their shared experience over pizza and spaghetti, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere for fans tuning in.
Jungkook began the conversation by announcing that they had been discharged. He said there was so much to talk about, but he still felt awkward in front of the camera. Laughing at his own discomfort, he added that he did not even know what he had said and did not know where to look. He admitted that talking about the military after such a long time felt strange.
Jimin suggested that fans would likely be curious since they were the only BTS members to enlist together. He said there was really a lot to talk about and jokingly added that it could be a 10-episode series, although that might be a bit too much.
Reflecting on the beginning of their military journey, Jimin admitted he was very worried when they enlisted. He said he felt unsettled when they entered the training center. According to Jimin, Jungkook seemed to handle it better at first. For the first five weeks, Jimin was in constant distress, but Jungkook gave him a lot of strength and comforted him by saying that time was passing quickly.
However, once they were assigned to their respective units, things changed. Jimin said that the roles reversed and Jungkook began to struggle more each day. Jimin then became the one offering comfort. He said they leaned on each other a lot and found strength in their companionship throughout their service.
Their heartfelt conversation gave fans a glimpse into the deep bond the two youngest BTS members share and how their connection grew even stronger during their time in the military.
