As they approach their seventh debut anniversary, ATEEZ has offered a hopeful update on the status of their contract renewal.
During a press conference held at Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery on June 12 to celebrate the release of their 12th mini album 'Golden Hour: Part.3,' leader Hongjoong addressed questions about the group’s future.
“We’re thoughtfully considering how ATEEZ can continue to show our best side over the long term,” he said. “We’re doing our best to share good news and positive developments in the near future.”
The group had previously shared that discussions around their contract renewal were ongoing from multiple perspectives during their comeback last year. Given their repeated desire to continue as ATEEZ for a long time, fans are hopeful that an official announcement will be favorable.
Following the success of their previous album, which topped the Billboard 200, the group was asked about their goals for this comeback.
“We were able to achieve such great results thanks to ATINY,” said Yeosang, referring to the group’s global fanbase. “For this promotion, rather than focusing on Billboard rankings, we want to create meaningful memories with ATINY and continue our journey in a healthy and joyful way.”
He continued, “We’re grateful to ATINY for being with us as we reach our seventh anniversary. I also want to thank the members for their hard work and strength throughout this time.” ATEEZ will return on June 13 at 1 p.m. KST with the release of 'Golden Hour: Part.3,' marking their first comeback in seven months.
The album is the third installment in the 'Golden Hour' series, which captures the group’s most radiant moments. The title track, “Lemon Drop,” is a bright and refreshing summer song inspired by the citrus cocktail of the same name. It expresses ATEEZ’s sweet and cheerful energy, perfect for the season. Members Hongjoong and Mingi contributed to the lyrics.
In addition to the title track, the album includes “Masterpiece,” “Now This House Ain’t a Home,” “Castle,” and “Bridge: The Edge of Reality.” These five songs showcase the group’s evolving musicality and wide-ranging sound.
