According to media outlet reports on May 29 KST, the Seoul Gangnam Police has dismissed the forged signature lawsuit filed by FIFTY FIFTY member Keena against CEO Ahn Sung Il of The Givers due to "lack of sufficient evidence".
Previously, Keena sued Ahn Sung Il by claiming that he had forged her signature on documents allotting her credits and copyright royalties as a lyricist of FIFTY FIFTY's song "Cupid". The document secured Keena's agreement to receive as little as 0.5% in all copyright royalties, which Keena claimed was signed without her consent.
However, after an initial investigation, the Seoul Gangnam Police concluded, "There is insufficient evidence to prove the accused guilty."
The Givers then interpreted this decision by the police as an indication of its innocence, stating in an official press release, "By signing a production contract with The Givers, ATTRAKT gave The Givers full authorization to fulfill all matters related to FIFTY FIFTY's music activities, including the authorization to use the signatures of the members on business documents."
However, ATTRAKT commented on the police decision, "The decision is difficult to comprehend. We intend to demand a reinvestigation by submitting additional evidence."
