According to Nielsen Korea on May 10 KST, episode 7 of 'The Haunted Palace', which aired a day earlier, recorded an average nationwide viewership rating of 9.8% and a citywide viewership rating of 9.6%. The highest rating of the episode peaked at 10.9%, entering double figures. The drama has shown a steady retention in viewership ratings after its first episode, which recorded an average nationwide rating of 9.2%.

On the other hand, direct competitor 'Crushology 101', airing on Fridays and Saturdays on MBC, is still struggling in the 1% range after starting out with an average nationwide rating of 1.3%. Episode 9, which aired on May 9 KST, recorded an average rating of 1.2%.

Elsewhere, Fri-Sat drama competitors airing on cable networks like JTBC's 'Heavenly Ever After' and tvN's 'Resident Playbook' displayed their strengths in global viewership and netizen buzz. 'Heavenly Ever After' took the lead in global viewership, ranking 6th on Netflix in the non-English series category for the week of April 28 through May 4. 'Resident Playbook' continued to display its strength in netizen buzz, remaining a hot topic of discussion on various social platforms according to data analysis firms.
