On May 26, actress Park Shin Hye shared her inspiring journey to the summit of Hallasan, South Korea’s tallest mountain, demonstrating both her adventurous spirit and deep affection for her agency colleagues.
Posting on her personal social media account, Park wrote, “A beginner who barely managed Achasan... Bravely climbed Hallasan. My legs are trembling now that I’m back down,” along with photos from the Baengnokdam peak on Jeju Island.
She didn’t take the journey alone. Park celebrated the successful hike with her long-time agency, Salt Entertainment, and expressed heartfelt gratitude to her team “Whew, Salt Mountaineering Club! Thank you to my Salt family who smiled and came along, even when I made the unreasonable request to go climb Hallasan right after Achasan.” She added, “Big thanks to our CEO who provided hiking boots for all staff and actors. You're the best.”
Known for her strong bonds with Salt Entertainment, Park has been with the agency for years and is recognized for treating her colleagues like family.
Earlier that day, she gave fans a glimpse of her climb, posting a photo mid-hike with the humorous caption “Why am I doing this to myself?” Fans were quick to cheer her on.
Following her marriage to fellow actor Choi Tae Joon and the birth of their son, Park Shin Hye has continued to capture public attention with her positive, healthy lifestyle and return to the spotlight.
Currently, Park is also in the midst of her seventh Asia fan tour, which began in early May in Taipei. She lit up the stage with not one, but two dynamic dance performance segments, drawing widespread praise. Following her stop in Bangkok on May 17, she is scheduled to meet fans in Tokyo on June 29.
Park first launched her Asia tour in 2013, becoming the first Korean actress to do so, and continues to connect with fans across the continent over a decade later.
