Singer Nam Tae Hyun has canceled his planned comeback performance at ‘K-pop Week in Hongdae’ following his recent drug scandal.

According to an exclusive report by Kim Ye Na of Xports News, Nam Tae Hyun was scheduled to perform on May 6 and planned to debut a new song, signaling his return to the stage. However, growing public backlash over his appearance led to the cancellation.

Event organizer Yoon Hyung Bin had previously stated, “Nam Tae Hyun was determined to make a sincere return, and we hoped the audience would see his genuine side on stage.” Despite these plans, the performance was ultimately scrapped.

‘K-pop Week in Hongdae,’ which runs from April 11 to May 11, is a music festival held across small theaters in Seoul’s Hongdae district. With the slogan “Closer and more sincere,” the festival aims to bring fans and artists closer together. Its focus on intimate live performances rather than massive arena shows has been well-received.
