Jeon Ho Jun, a musical actor with 18 years of experience, is facing public controversy after a former girlfriend, identified as 'A,' accused him of physical assault and transmitting a sexually transmitted disease during their relationship.
On May 24, A posted a message titled “I suffered a three-week injury from assault by musical actor Jeon Ho Jun. Please help me” on the Musical and Theater gallery section of the online community DCInside. She also asked readers to view her Instagram stories for further details and support.
In her Instagram post, A tagged Jeon's account and claimed she was assaulted while dating him. She included images of her body covered in bruises as supporting evidence.
According to A, she financially supported Jeon throughout the relationship. She stated that she covered all dating expenses, provided items such as a mobile phone, luxury scarf, and necklace, and paid for a 10-day trip to Thailand, spending around 5 million KRW (about $3,656). She also alleged that Jeon infected her with herpes and that she had suffered a miscarriage. Additionally, she claimed she gave him 1 million KRW (about $731) in cash every month to cover his Pilates costs.
She described a violent incident, writing that she lost contact with him after 9 PM and later heard he returned home at 2 AM in a drunken state. When she arrived at his home, she said he attacked her immediately, choking her, slamming her to the ground, kneeling on her chest, and hitting her face. When she tried to defend herself, she said she struck him, causing him to bleed. He then allegedly threatened her, reported the incident himself, and it was treated as mutual assault.
A claimed she told him she did not wish to press charges and wanted to end things peacefully, but he contacted a lawyer and blocked her. She expressed anger and a sense of injustice.
She also criticized Jeon for continuing to appear in theater productions. In her post, she wrote that he was acting as if nothing had happened and said she was prepared to face a defamation lawsuit, stating that she would no longer remain silent.
A included a text message she claimed was from Jeon. The message asked her to stop tagging and posting about him on Instagram, saying others were being affected and that he had already reported the matter to the police.
She responded by questioning why he was communicating only through text after cutting off contact and asked how he could show concern for others while ignoring the pain she suffered during the alleged assault.
Jeon Ho Jun made his musical debut in 2007 with 'Notre-Dame de Paris.' He gained popularity through his role as Angel in 'Kinky Boots' and has also appeared in major productions including 'Wicked, Cats,' and 'Chicago.'
