Lee Soo Man, the visionary producer and founder of SM Entertainment, shared a DJ booth with Girls’ Generation member Hyoyeon at a rooftop party in Los Angeles, creating an unexpected and buzzworthy moment.
On May 24 (KST), Hyoyeon posted photos and video clips on her official social media account with the caption “Party ✨.” The footage showed her performing as DJ HYO alongside Lee Soo Man at an open-air rooftop event held at NeueHouse Hollywood.
The party took place on May 12 (local time) as part of the ‘PREMIERE & AFTER PARTY’ for the Amazon Prime documentary ‘Lee Soo Man: King of K-Pop’, which chronicles his legacy and impact on the global music industry.
Hyoyeon took the stage as a DJ, energizing the crowd with her signature sound, while Lee Soo Man joined her at the turntables, dancing playfully and contributing to the festive vibe.

Among the guests were Girls’ Generation members Sunny, who is Lee Soo Man’s niece, and Tiffany, both of whom were seen clapping and blowing kisses to show their support.
After stepping away from SM Entertainment in 2023 following a high-profile leadership dispute, Lee Soo Man sold his 14.8% stake in the company to HYBE chairman Bang Si Hyuk. He has since focused on international ventures and ESG initiatives.
In the first half of 2023, through his new company Blooming Grace, Lee Soo Man established the agency A2O Entertainment and launched the multinational girl group A2O MAY.
The rooftop event in Hollywood served not only as a celebration of the documentary’s release but also as a symbolic reunion between Lee Soo Man and the artists he helped shape—offering a nostalgic yet vibrant moment for fans of K-pop’s early global era.
