Kim Yuna responds with a 'like' as husband Ko Woo Rim completes military service.

Ko Woo Rim, a member of the crossover vocal group Forestella, has officially completed his mandatory military service and did not miss the chance to show love for his wife, former figure skating champion Kim Yuna.

On May 21, Ko shared a heartfelt message on his social media announcing his discharge with the caption: "Discharged. This is civilian Ko Woo Rim reporting back. I have completed my service safely and in good health, thanks to the support and encouragement of everyone who cared for me. May 2025, which once seemed so far away, has finally arrived.”

He went on to reflect on his military experience. “There were times when the lack of freedom was frustrating and difficult, but I also gained valuable lessons and personal growth that could only come through this process. I am looking forward to meeting a more mature version of myself in the days ahead.”

Ko also expressed his gratitude to his fellow Forestella members by saying, “I am deeply thankful to my teammates who kept the group strong during the eighteen months or even longer for which I was away. Now, all of our members have completed their military service.”

Alongside his message, Ko posted a series of photos from his time in the army, including group shots with fellow soldiers and snapshots that capture memories from his military journey. 

One detail that stood out in the images was the customized embroidery on his uniform. Notably, on the right side of his uniform, the phrase “Woo Rim♥Yuna” was stitched in pink as an open and affectionate nod to his wife. Fans also noticed that Kim Yuna herself liked the post, which further warmed hearts.

Ko Woo Rim and Kim Yuna first met in 2018 during the 'All That Skate ice show' where Ko performed as part of the celebration stage. After three years of dating, the couple tied the knot in October 2022.

Ko enlisted on November 20, 2023 and faithfully served as part of the Army’s military band. He was officially discharged on May 19, 2025.
