On May 5th KST, Gen Z idol group KiiiKiii surprised fans with a gift for Children’s Day by releasing a special dance practice video titled "KiiiKiii – I DO ME (Children’s Day ver.)" on their official YouTube channel.
Prior to the release, KiiiKiii shared childhood photos of the members on social media along with recreated versions of those images, drawing enthusiastic reactions from fans. The dance practice video—featuring a playful Children’s Day theme—delighted their official fanbase, Tiki, and sparked interest among broader K-pop fans.
In the video, the members wear adorable accessories like frilly skirts and headbands, charmingly recreating their childhood looks. With this reimagined version of their debut track "I DO ME", they showcased their playful side and brought a fresh new energy to the choreography.
Notably, the video included witty lines like “What class are you in?” and “I’m in the Chick class” to mimic playful kids. They added extra cuteness to the choreography’s signature “tag” and “rock-paper-scissors” inspired dance moves, offering fans a bubbly, charming version of their usual confident Gen Z image.
I DO ME is the title track from KiiiKiii’s debut album 'UNCUT GEM', a pop dance song expressing the spirit of girls who trust their instincts and live boldly. The song emphasizes the group’s confident charm while also highlighting their joyful teamwork—something fans could clearly feel in the Children’s Day version.
Since the release of 'I DO ME', KiiiKiii has ranked No.1 on YouTube’s trending music videos and reached as high as No.3 on the Melon HOT 100 (as of 30 days post-release), maintaining a strong presence on the charts. They also took home their first-ever trophy on the MBC music show 'Show! Music Core'.
In addition, KiiiKiii has topped the rookie idol brand reputation rankings for three consecutive months (March, April, and May), proving their dominant influence in the K-pop scene.
The group is set to continue active promotions, including a performance at KCON JAPAN 2025 in Chiba, Japan on May 11th.
