Ahn Yujin, a member of the girl group IVE, recently went viral online for her ceremonial first pitch at a K League match.
On May 3rd, Ahn took the mound at Daejeon World Cup Stadium for a 2025 K League 1 match featuring Daejeon Hana Citizen, her hometown team. It marked her second ceremonial first pitch at the stadium, following her 2023 appearance.
Born in Daejeon and raised there through middle school, Ahn stepped onto the field wearing a Daejeon jersey and denim shorts, with her hair pulled up in a high ponytail. Her bright and sporty look, paired with a confident and well-executed pitch, drew admiration from fans both in the stadium and online.
Ahn Yujin began her career after being accepted into Starship Entertainment during middle school, eventually debuting as a model for contact lenses. She gained recognition in 2018 after finishing fifth on Mnet’s 'Produce 48', debuting as a member of the project group IZ*ONE.
Since 2021, she has been active as the leader of IVE, a multinational six-member girl group under Starship Entertainment. She is also earning praise for her sharp wit and variety show skills on tvN’s 'Earth Arcade 3'.
