Actress Jo Bo Ah embodies the elegance of a traditional Korean painting in newly released behind-the-scenes stills from the Netflix series 'Tangeum', set to premiere on May 16.

In the unveiled images, Jo Bo Ah showcases a stunning hanbok look—donning a white jeogori and a dark navy skirt that evoke the calm grace of the Joseon era. Her soft smile paired with an emotional gaze creates a poignant atmosphere that draws the viewer in.
Tangeum is a historical mystery romance that tells the story of Hongrang, the son of Joseon’s most powerful merchant family, who returns after being missing for 12 years with no memory of his past. Only his half-sister Jae Yi suspects something is off. Jo Bo Ah plays Jae Yi, a woman determined to uncover the truth behind her brother’s disappearance, bringing depth and intensity to the role with a guarded and watchful performance.

Additional behind-the-scenes photos capture Jo Bo Ah leaning gently against co-star Lee Jae Wook (Hongrang), radiating a warm chemistry that hints at the close bond between cast members on set. In contrast, another still shows her intently watching the monitor with a tense, sharp expression—further amplifying curiosity about her character’s emotional complexity.
Known for her bright and lovable roles in past dramas, Jo Bo Ah is set to deliver a strikingly different performance in Tangeum, breaking away from her previous image with a bold transformation.
Tangeum will be available on Netflix starting May 16.
