Actress Gong Hyo Jin has announced that she will be moving to the United States once her husband, singer Kevin Oh, completes his military service.
In a Q&A video posted on her YouTube channel “For Now, Gong Hyo Jin” on May 4, she shared her 2025 travel plans, saying, “I’m planning to visit Belgium, Germany, Amsterdam, and then head to New York.” She added, “Once I arrive in the U.S., I’ll start preparing to live there.”
When the staff asked if that meant Kevin Oh would be discharged by then, she confirmed, “Yes, we’ll be going right after he’s out.”
Gong also described her travel style, saying, “I’m ENFP, so I don’t usually visit big tourist attractions. Even though I’ve been to New York so many times, I’ve never seen the Statue of Liberty.”
Gong Hyo Jin and Kevin Oh, who is ten years her junior, tied the knot in New York in October 2022. Kevin, a Korean-American with dual citizenship, began his mandatory service in December 2023, choosing to enlist to build a stable life in Korea with his wife while expanding his music career.
