Following school bullying allegations involving actress Go Min Si, an individual referred to as “A”—a friend who was named as a co-perpetrator—has issued a strong personal response via social media.
On May 27th KST, A posted a lengthy message on a private account, prefacing it with the statement: “This is not a clarification, but a rebuttal to false information.” In the post, A expressed both frustration and confidence, declaring, “At first, I was scared and confused, but what’s not true is not true. I’ll be reporting every single person who has spread my photo, salon name, and Instagram handle. Just wait.”
A continued, “I’ve always lived an honest and healthy life. I can’t believe I even have to write something like this.” They went on to explain their background: “I wanted to become a hairdresser, so I went to a vocational school, got a job right after graduating, and worked hard to open my own salon. I’ve never done anything during my school days that would embarrass my family or friends.”
In the attached image, A wrote: “I’ve never been involved in school violence in either middle or high school. If you have evidence, bring it. If not, come to my shop—now that my identity has been exposed. I’m not hiding. If you’re curious, come in person. I’ll serve you a coffee, grind the beans myself.”
The post also included pointed comments toward online users who messaged or commented insults anonymously: “Those who sent me DMs and comments—I’m tracking all of you. Call and apologize; I’ll accept it kindly. I don’t have time for this. Whether I change my username or close the comments, that’s my right.”
A then shared a specific address and added: “I hate people who are strong to the weak and weak to the strong. If you bullied someone, say it to their face. But hiding behind posts like this—that’s also a form of violence. If you’re confident, come here yourself.”
They closed with: “The most pathetic are those who make their accounts private and hide while hurling curses. Go get a job or hit the gym. To those who want hair services from me—I’ll keep doing my best for you!”
The controversy began on May 26th, when a post titled “We are victims of school bullying by actress Go” was uploaded to an online community. The post identified the actress as Go Min Si, revealing her real name as Go Hye Ji, and alleging that she committed school violence, verbal abuse, and theft, and mocked students with disabilities during her time at Jungni Middle School in Daejeon. The original poster also named A as another perpetrator and included a photo showing Go Min Si meeting A after her rise to fame.
As of now, Go Min Si has not issued a public statement.
