YG Entertainment has captured global attention by revealing the first trainee from its upcoming girl group—set to follow in the footsteps of BLACKPINK and BABYMONSTER.
On May 28th KST, YG posted a performance video titled ‘YG NEXT MONSTER | EVELLI – Nosebleeds’ on its official blog. The clip, taken from a real monthly evaluation session, marked the debut appearance of Evelli, an Australian trainee. She chose 'Nosebleeds' by Doechii, showcasing the signature YG hip-hop identity in full force.
From the moment the music began, Evelli impressed with her contrasting charm—a lovely visual paired with a deep, captivating voice. Her ability to ride the groove with a rich lower tone, then shift effortlessly into fast-paced rapping with rhythm and control, highlighted her dynamic range and stage presence.
Previously, YG announced that its next girl group would be a four-member team, and that each member would be introduced one by one. As successors to BLACKPINK, now global superstars, and BABYMONSTER, known for their powerful live vocals and rising international popularity, expectations are high for the new group.
Executive Producer Yang Hyun Suk has also emphasized confidence in the individual talents of the trainees, stating: “Please judge them as they are and as you hear them.” As the first to be revealed, Evelli has already made a strong impression with her raw talent and charisma, heightening anticipation for the remaining members yet to be introduced.
