Set to hit theaters on Friday, May 30, the film marks the beginning of this year’s summer movie season with a gripping story about those who strive to protect soju and those who aim to take it over.
Starring Yoo Hae Jin and Lee Jae Hoon, 'Big Deal' follows the intense rivalry between two men during the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis. Yoo Hae Jin plays Jong Rok, a finance executive whose life revolves around the soju company. Lee Jae Hoon plays In Beom, a results-driven employee at a global investment firm. Their clash over the future of Korea’s national soju brand reflects larger questions about values, ambition, and national identity during a time of crisis.
The newly released third poster showcases the star-studded cast and hints at a fierce performance showdown, with soju featured as the symbolic centerpiece of the story.
