Two people were killed in a tragic accident during the 'AXE Ceremonia' music festival held on April 5th (local time) at Parque Bicentenario in Mexico City, where K-pop group TXT (TOMORROW X TOGETHER) was among the performers.

According to Mexico City officials, a sudden gust of wind caused a metal crane structure to collapse around 5:30 PM, fatally injuring two individuals. Despite emergency treatment at the scene and immediate transport to the hospital, both victims — later identified as photographers — succumbed to their injuries.

The local government has since launched an investigation into the cause and responsibility for the accident. Following the incident, the remainder of the festival was canceled.

TXT, who became the first K-pop group to perform at the festival, expressed their condolences via their official X (formerly Twitter) account: “We express our deepest condolences for the tragic accident that occurred during the festival. We send our heartfelt sympathy to the victims, their families, loved ones, and colleagues during this difficult time.”
