Danielle of NewJeans shared a heartfelt letter expressing her deep affection for fans, Bunnies, on April 30th KST through the independently operated account managed by the members.
In a long message, Danielle wrote, “As I read the many letters Bunnies have sent me, I’ve been overwhelmed by countless thoughts and emotions. I was reminded of the power behind even the smallest words, the weight a single sentence can carry, and how the beauty of writing can move the heart. Most of all, I truly realized once again how strong and warmhearted Bunnies are.”
She continued, “Every time I read a letter, I could feel the sincerity from Bunnies, and I felt like my soul was slowly being healed. I came to understand that Bunnies are holding my hand and truly believe in me.” She added, “Let’s always remember that we’re not alone, and I hope we can be each other’s comfort when needed. Even if we can’t meet or hug in person, I know we’re giving one another strength and sharing positive energy.”
Danielle concluded with, “Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being my support during my most difficult moments, for shining a light at the end of the tunnel, and for never stopping believing in me and our members.”
NewJeans declared independent activities last November, stating that their exclusive contract with ADOR had been terminated. In response, ADOR filed for an injunction to confirm the validity of the contract, prevent the group from signing new advertising deals, and preserve the agency’s rights.
The court ruled entirely in favor of ADOR. While NewJeans had cited 11 reasons for terminating the contract—including the dismissal of former CEO Min Hee Jin and the resulting lack of a producer—the court did not accept any of them. Although the group filed an objection, it was ultimately dismissed.
Amid the legal battle, NewJeans declared a halt to their activities and referred to themselves as “revolutionaries.”
