Actress Han Ga In shared a surprising and candid story from her pregnancy days, recalling a moment when she secretly ate bread in a restroom stall to manage morning sickness.
On April 1st, Han released a new video on her YouTube channel ‘Free Woman Han Ga In’ titled “What happens when Han Ga In goes all out for her acting comeback after 7 years.” The video documents her return to acting through the music video for ‘Rules of a Princess’ — her first on-screen appearance in seven years.
Early in the video, Han explained her reason for taking part in the project: “My kids really love this song. The more I listened to it, the more I found meaning in it.”
However, the mood shifted when the production team asked if she was okay with filming a scene where she eats in a bathroom. Without hesitation, Han responded, “It’s fine. I’ve got nothing to lose,” before revealing, “Actually, I’ve eaten bread on a toilet before.”
She went on to explain, “When I was pregnant with my first child, I was attending an English academy. I had severe morning sickness on an empty stomach. But the place was packed with people, and I couldn’t take off my mask and hat to eat — no one knew who I was.”
“So I pretended to go to the restroom, brought some bread with me, and quietly ate it while sitting on the toilet,” she confessed, prompting laughter and surprise from the staff. When the production crew responded with, “Well, good thing you’ve done it before,” Han smiled and replied, “That’s why it doesn’t bother me much.”
Han Ga In married actor Yeon Jung Hoon in 2005. After 11 years of marriage, the couple welcomed a daughter, followed by a son in 2019, making them proud parents of two children.
