G-Dragon’s high-profile music project ‘Good Day’ is gaining momentum — and attention — as a preview of the show’s group song remake was released ahead of its 7th episode airing on April 6th.
The MBC program, led by G-Dragon, features a star-studded lineup including Jo Se Ho, Jung Hyung Don, Defconn, Code Kunst, Hwang Jung Min, Lee Soo Hyuk, Im Siwan, Hwang Kwang Hee, Jung Hae In, Kian84, Hong Jin Kyung, Kim Go Eun, Chef Ahn Sung Jae, SEVENTEEN’s BSS, aespa, and CL — all participating in the show’s central mission to produce the song of the year.
In a newly released clip, G-Dragon unveiled the remake track chosen for the group: “Telepathy” by Deux (Deuxiaideul), a quintessential Korean city pop hit from 1988. With its funky rhythm and instantly catchy beat, the retro classic immediately won over cast members both young and old.
Hong Jin Kyung gushed, “I love this song — it’s a work of art,” while Jung Hyung Don and Defconn began dancing in sync with the beat. Even cast members unfamiliar with the original track were seen enjoying the groove, building excitement for the full remake.
The project’s recording sessions were also revealed, with G-Dragon taking charge as producer. Notably, he assembled the “’88 line” of Im Siwan, Jung Hae In, and Hwang Kwang Hee — but conspicuously excluded Kim Soo Hyun, who is currently embroiled in controversy over past allegations involving the late actress Kim Sae Ron. The exclusion has not gone unnoticed, prompting speculation.
G-Dragon kicked off the recording by reinterpreting “Telepathy” in his own signature style, adding an impromptu rap and reshaping the song into something entirely new. Hwang Kwang Hee was in awe, exclaiming, “This is insane. He’s a true artist.”
As director, G-Dragon was seen offering detailed vocal guidance to Jung Hae In, advising him to “think like an actor” when delivering the lyrics. Jung’s performance noticeably improved after taking the feedback to heart.
With beloved band DAY6 also set to join the project, anticipation is building for how G-Dragon’s 2025 version of “Telepathy” will sound when fully revealed.
