Ock Joo Hyun, a member of Fin.K.L and a musical actress, paid tribute to the late Wheesung, reminiscing about their time together as young artists.
On March 11th KST, Ock Joo Hyun shared a clip of their 2005 MBC ‘Music Camp’ performance, reflecting on their past: “That was back in 2004, more than 20 years ago. In our twenties, we were completely focused on vocal lessons, moving from one class to another, passionately discussing vocal techniques.”
She continued, “Thanks to him, I spent hours standing right in front of a soundproof wall practicing rock vocal techniques. We experimented with countless lessons, exploring and learning with so much excitement. We were just passionate students, tirelessly diving into the depths of vocals, pouring everything into it, and sharing our love for music. It was a time filled with pure joy.”
Ock Joo Hyun also expressed her gratitude for their shared journey: “There’s a saying, ‘The people of that time.’ Though we went our separate ways, living busy lives, I have never forgotten how much strength you gave me as my vocal lesson companion, Wheesung.”
She concluded her heartfelt message with a final farewell: “I hope you find happiness and peace there, just like in those moments when you were overflowing with passion for music. I will pray for you and remember you always.”
