As of 11 AM on March 13, outdoor fashion brand Eider has removed all images of actor Kim Soo Hyun from its official social media accounts. Following the deletion of his photos from the Eider section of K-Village's official website, his images have also disappeared from the brand's social media platforms.
Currently, the only remaining Eider model featured on the brand's social media is IVE’s Wonyoung, who has been promoting alongside Kim Soo Hyun.
This move comes in the wake of allegations made by the bereaved family of the late actress Kim Sae Ron. On March 10, through the YouTube channel 'Garosero Research Institute,' they claimed that Kim Soo Hyun had been in a romantic relationship with Kim Sae Ron from the age of 15 until she turned 21, spanning six years (2015–2021).
Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, has strongly denied the allegations, calling them "unfounded falsehoods that cannot be overlooked."
However, the controversy intensified after text messages reportedly sent by the late actress to Kim Soo Hyun were revealed, along with photos showing Kim Soo Hyun giving Kim Sae Ron a cheek kiss and letters he allegedly wrote to her while serving in the military. If these claims prove to be true, public criticism has mounted over the possibility of grooming behavior.
In response, Kim Soo Hyun's agency stated on March 13, saying, "We will clarify the facts and address these baseless rumors with clear evidence next week. We sincerely apologize for causing prolonged distress and kindly ask for understanding as we refrain from further media reports on the matter."
The situation continues to develop, with the public closely watching for further statements and clarifications from those involved.
