On January 29, the ‘2024 MBC Gayo Daejejeon’ aired the last full-group performance of fromis_9, featuring their song 'Supersonic.'
Earlier, fromis_9 officially ended their exclusive contract with Pledis Entertainment as of December 31, 2024, and decided not to renew it. After seven years of activity and receiving much love from their fans, they concluded their group activities and will each follow their individual paths.
On January 26, members Song Ha Young, Park Ji Won, Lee Na Gyung, Lee Chae Young, and Baek Ji Heon signed contracts with the new agency, ASND. Discussions regarding the use of the name "fromis_9" are reportedly ongoing with their former agency, Pledis Entertainment.
The remaining three members, Lee Sae Rom, Lee Seo Yeon, and Roh Ji Sun, have chosen to pursue individual careers outside of the group.
During the ‘2024 MBC Gayo Daejejeon,’ fromis_9’s 8-member final full-group stage was broadcast. The members performed professionally, but during the closing stage, Baek Ji Heon couldn't hold back her tears and was seen covering her mouth with her hand. Lee Chae Young, clearly emotional, also hid her face behind her hair and turned her head away.
In honor of fromis_9's last stage, fans offered an even more heartfelt and fervent applause, cheering for the group as they bid farewell to their time together.
