Gong Hyo Jin talks about her husband Kevin Oh, communicating in English, and her first meeting with her mother-in-law

On December 24th, actress Gong Hyo Jin mentioned her husband Kevin Oh and shared stories about their communication in English and her first meeting with her mother-in-law. This came during an appearance on the YouTube channel Salon Drip, in the episode titled "If You're Cute, You Win | EP.71 Lee Min Ho Gong Hyo Jin."

During the broadcast, Gong Hyo Jin and Lee Min Ho discussed their experience working together on the drama 'When the Stars Gossip', a space-themed series. Host Jang Do Yeon jokingly asked, "How do you do skinship in zero gravity?" Lee Min Ho responded with laughter, "The more extreme the situation, the more skinship happens."

Lee Min Ho also revealed that they filmed the drama while wearing wires for about 15-16 hours per day. Gong Hyo Jin added, "The set was really impressive. Just being on set gave off a space-like feeling, and it felt real." She further shared, "The spacesuit was incredibly heavy. I heard it cost several thousand dollars."

The two stars also spoke about how they grew closer during the filming of 'When the Stars Gossip', saying, "We talk on the phone for about two hours. We often start with text messages and then end up calling. We mostly talk about what's going on in our lives."

Gong Hyo Jin also spoke about her husband, Kevin Oh, whom she married in 2022. She explained, "Because of Kevin, I find myself using English a lot at home," mentioning that her husband is originally from the United States. 

Gong Hyo Jin also shared a story about having a small talk session with Hong Kong star Tony Leung Chiu Wai. "I told him how much I liked him and how I hope I get the opportunity to act with him someday," she recalled. She added that she enjoyed talking to people and mentioned how she spent an entire night chatting with her mother-in-law during their first meeting, getting to know her through casual conversation.

Meanwhile, Gong Hyo Jin and Lee Min Ho star together in 'When the Stars Gossip', which is set to premiere on January 4th, 2025.
