TXT's Soobin revealed the reason why he mentions his favorite group KARA during broadcasts.
On November 7, Soobin appeared on the first episode of YouTube channel Pixid's new show 'Faves' Faves,' and shared the reasons he stans KARA and still mentions the group on broadcasts to this day.
During this episode, he was told to make a presentation about why he likes KARA while KARA member Gyuri was in the classroom audience as an undercover. During the presentation, he shared an anecdote about his first fan meeting experience.
Soobin explained, "When I was a trainee I thought 'I should make a debut and go say hello to KARA.' With that mindset, I dreamed of becoming a singer for the first time. I wanted to try offline fanboying because when I finally debut, they (fans) might recognize me."
He continued, "There was a place with 50 (KARA fans) and we were going to eat together. Since KARA debuted a long time ago, the fans were older guys. They asked, 'Do you have merchandise?' I said 'I only have one CD,' so they gave me a calendar, albums, a light stick, a slogan banner, and all that."
Soobin explained that the KARA fans gave him all the merchandise since he was the youngest fan there. He elaborated, "They told me 'Since you're young, you can have it, and please continue to support KARA.'"
Soobin also shared the reason he continues to talk about KARA on broadcast to this day, and shared, "And they kept asking me 'What do you do?' and 'Are you perhaps working in the entertainment industry?' So I explained, 'Actually, I'm a trainee right now.' So they told me 'Since we gave you a lot of things today, if you debut, and appear on broadcasts, talk about KARA so that they won't be forgotten."
When hearing this in the classroom, Gyuri was so moved and touched by Soobin experience as their fan and showed tears.
