Former Girl’s Day member Hyeri stuns with her Karina-inspired makeup transformation.
On November 18 KST, Hyeri showcased her transformation into “Hyeri-na” (Hyeri + Karina) on her personal channel.
Hyeri began the video by announcing, “Today, I’ll try the 4th-gen idol makeup look that many of you have requested.” She chose to recreate aespa Karina’s makeup, inspired by her stunning appearance in the ‘Whiplash’ music video. During the session, Hyeri revealed, “I met Karina yesterday and told her I was going to do her makeup look. She even lent me her cyan headband, though I need to return it since she’s using it tomorrow.”
As the transformation progressed, Hyeri confidently remarked, “Today, I’m truly ‘Hyeri-na.’ It’s no joke. If I show up at a music show, people will think there are two Karinas! But since I have the headband, they’ll think I’m the real one.”
After completing her transformation, Hyeri shared her look with Karina, who responded enthusiastically, saying, “Unnie, you’re so pretty,” and calling it “legendary.”
Hyeri then walked the streets of Apgujeong, where passersby complimented her appearance, with some even mistaking her for Karina. She ended the day by visiting a photo booth to capture her “Hyeri-na” look, followed by dinner.
Fans left comments such as, “This makeup is perfect for her,” “I want to see Hyeri dancing to Whiplash in Karina’s look,” “Wasn’t she an idol too? Please make a comeback,” and “She’s already gorgeous without makeup—this should be illegal.”
Hyeri and Karina previously bonded while filming the Netflix show ‘Mystery Detective Squad,’ released on June 18.
